Building Department

 

The Building Department is located at City Hall and is open Monday through Friday

from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Building permits are submitted to the City's Building Permit Coordinator located at City Hall.  Once the permit application is deemed complete, a plan review and inspection will be completed by the City Building Official.

The City of St. Maries adopts the International Building Code. Our building department can help answer your building code questions, or if you are interested in doing your own research the current IBC code is available online from the International Code Council at https://www.iccsafe.org/.

All building permits are submitted to the City of St. Maries Building Permit Coordinator for staff review and then are sent to the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses. Please submit a complete building permit and supporting documents in person at 602 College Avenue or email to kwise@cityofstmaries.org. 


The City references the International Code  Council's Building Valuation Calculator to determine the valuation of each project. 


The City of St. Maries adopted the following codes, with City amendments, and are in effect as of May 2023 . (City Code, Title 9 Building Regulations)
